It's great to see this game on Mac OSX. Unprotected Vessel ISO from scene group RAiN
Living liquid machines have overrun this world of unstoppable progress, and it is the role of their inventor, Arkwright, to stop the chaos they are causing. Vessel is a game about a man with the power to bring ordinary matter to life, and all the consequences that ensue.
This is Strange Loop Games' Vessel for Mac OSX.
NOTE: Vessel for Mac requires OSX 10.7 (Lion) or higher!
Further documentation for Vessel can be found at the PC Gaming Wiki:
Patches (with notes) can be found at http://www.flibitijibibo.com/patch/vessel/
Bugs should be reported to Ethan Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org
- The display settings are inaccessible on Mac OS.
This is due to a flaw in SDL that causes the OpenGL context to be
destroyed when a video mode is set. To change the video settings, edit
the file ~/Library/Application Support/Vessel/VesselConfig.ini
- Performance is slower than on Windows.
Vessel on OpenGL currently supports a single-threaded engine only. The
reason for this is because the multithreaded engine will attempt to make
rendering calls from multiple threads... this does not work. Will be
looking at workarounds for this issue in v1.1.
- The water meter should show blue water, but is always empty.
Cause is currently unknown. However, you can measure the water content
by listening for a "filling" sound, which increases in pitch as it gets
closer to being full.
- Fluro eyes are googly/lazy.
There is an unfixable flaw in the scripting engine that causes fluro
eyeballs to be destroyed before the Fluro can actually use it. A
workaround was made to support the eyeball existing, but it may get a
bit googly in some cases.
- No custom cursors.
I am showing the regular mouse cursor in-game; I don't know if I can
make a nice replacement for the Win32 cursors in-game.
