Shaper is a 3D modelling, texturing and animation package developed by Inverse Software. It includes standard modelling tools such as translation, rotation and a variety of primitive creation functions. In addition it has more advanced modelling tools such as vertex snapping and face extrusion.
Skeletal animations can be created and edited using Shaper. It supports multiple bone influences for a single vertex. A track view is provided for working with key frames.
Shaper also has functions for working with materials. A texture coordinate editor is included.
Shaper has been designed to be integrated tightly with game engines. At this point only the Torque engine is supported but other engines such as Unreal shall be supported in the future.
Shaper has a powerful Lua based plug in system that can by used by people with programming skill to add additional tools. Existing built-in tools like Face Sub-Division already use this system.
