Gnumeric is a program developed for the manipulation and analysis of numerical data, similar to Microsoft Excel. It can be used to create and manage playlists, organize numeric values in columns and rows, perform complex calculations using formulas, creating and printing graphics and various other tasks involving numbers, dates and other data types.
This means that you now have a completely free alternative to Microsoft Excel, because Gnumeric can work with large spreadsheets and efficiently without crashing. The program includes functions and elements very similar to the program of the Office suite: the menu bar, toolbar, formatting toolbar, object bar, area, input area, cell area and formatting.
The Menu Bar follows the pattern of this and other programs: it contains the menus file, edit, view, insert, format, tools, information and help. The toolbar provides the resources to create, open, save, print, cut, copy, paste, undo, redo and insert link, and provides buttons for sum, function, list, create graphics, add another component or object .
In the formatting toolbar, you choose the font to be used and apply basic effects to text, such as size, bold, italics, underline and justification, and functions to mix cells.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts and key combinations similar to Microsoft Excel.
Revision 2: This fixes an issue with improper keyboard selection when selecting the English-only install on most systems. All languages must be included to prevent it from occuring on certain systems.
