Fate of the World v1.0.6 incl serial-THETA

a dramatic global strategy game that puts all our futures in your hands. The game features a dramatic set of scenarios based on the latest science covering the next two centuries. You must manage a balancing act of protecting the Earth’s resources and climate versus the needs of an ever-growing world population, who are demanding ever more food, power, and living space. Will you help the whole planet or will you be an agent of destruction?

Fate of the World is brought to you by the award-winning Red Redemption games team and Battlestations: Midway Producer Klaude Thomas with climate science by Dr. Myles Allen (University of Oxford), writing by David Bishop (Dr. Who, 2000AD) and music composed by Richard Jacques (Mass Effect, Alice in Wonderland) with game design by veteran game designer Matthew Miles Griffiths (Conflict: Desert Storm, Battlestations: Midway).

Fate of the World has been nominated for the 2011 Index: Design Awards and as a Top 10 Social Impact Games of 2010-11 by Games for Change.

- Changed: Impact adaptation cards are no longer stalled when AIs are attained. Hence, Meteorological AI can be played alongside adaptation measures for strong late-game defence measures. [#3008]
- Changed: Resource shortage reports have been reworded to emphasis demand is the problem, not a lack of fuel [#2955]
- Changed: Switching to organic farming now also helps with water stress by reducing agricultural water demand [#2968]
- Changed: "World is in your hands" achievement is no longer given for completing all missions (as more missions have since been added). It is now given based on winning a full-length mission with the lowest region having an HDI of > 0.85. [#2986]
- Fixed: Deck filtered by 'Affordable' updates correctly after purchasing an agent in that region. [#2982]
- Fixed: 'Decline X Use' cards in the energy sector will stall when they that resource is no longer used for energy in that region. [#3003]
- Fixed: Some impact reports had mis-matched colours and support effects. [#3012]
- New: Cornucopia mission where unconventional fossil fuels are in vast numbers but the effects of climate change are unchanged. [#2992]
- New: The game can be run without graphics card shaders which may help performance on some graphics cards by adding --noshaders to the command line on launch. [#2908]
- Fixed: Decline cards no longer have more standardised stacking effects when more than one is played at once. [#3023]
- Card picker no longer re-deals to first page when selecting a card. [#3036]
